Okay so I talked to Jeff on my lunch break. They're at the hospital until at least tonight. Jeff and Karen are learning about how to read Emily's blood sugar levels and administering the insulin. They did confirm that she has child onset diabetes. By the time they got to the hospital yesterday afternoon her blood sugar level was over 800! The normal range is between 90 and 120.
Please continue to pray for the family, as you can imagine this is very hard for Jeff and Karen. Jeff said that Emily's dealing with this pretty well, but I can imagine that this will wear on her sooner then later.

i will continue to pray. i'm glad they were able to get her levels back to normal. 800 is dangerous. its encouraging to see God's grace at work even here - in allowing her to get to the hospital and in allowing the doctors wisdom with what to do for her.
